Chairman - Captain Brian Castile (united)
Captain Brian Castile, a member of US-ALPA is the Chairman of the Associations of Star Alliance Pilots Executive Board, known as ASAP. He is also a member of the UALMEC Alliance & Scope Oversight Committee. He has 22 years of professional pilot experience having flown for 3 airlines. Currently flying for United Air Lines as a Captain on the Airbus 320 based in Los Angeles, California. Captain Castile holds Type Ratings on the Boeing 747, 767, 757, 737, and the Airbus 320.
Vice ChaiR - First Officer Yuka Oishi (ANA)
FO Yuka Oishi was born in Japan and was raised in England and Australia. After returning to Japan for university Yuka earned a BA at the International Christian University in Tokyo and at the University of Leeds in the U.K,, in International Development studies. In 2008, she was hired by ANA as a cadet pilot trainee. She completed her flight training in 2012, which included 18 months at the ANA flight school in Bakersfield, California and became a First Officer for the Boeing 767 late that same year. After 3 years on the 767 she upgraded to First Officer for the B777 in 2016.
Yuka has been a member of Alliance Committee for the All Nippon Airways Crew Association (ACA) since 2014 and has been the Vice Chairman for the same Committee since 2017. She has been a part of the Strategic Planning Group for ASAP since 2016.
Secretary Treasurer - CAPTAIN GAry Russell (air Canada)
Chair of the External Affairs Committee for the Air Canada Pilots Association (ACPA) and a Nationally Elected member of the ACPA MEC, Captain Gary Russell is a Vancouver based Airbus 320 pilot. He has served several previous roles including ACPA's delegate to ASAP, ACPA's governance review committee, locally elected councillor for the YVR base, and editor of the Air Canada Pilot's magazine: the ACPA Journal. He has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration in Aviation from the University of the Fraser Valley. Gary and his family live off the west coast of Vancouver, on Bowen Island.
